So im just gonna lay it on the table. This transfer.. we´ve seen a
lot of miracles. WE¨VE found un mon ton de investigadores. En serio!! Me
and Hermana Torres LOVE LOVE LOVE to talk to people. No meido. :)
But something was lacking... we didnt know what. I think I felt like
the lessons were not so heartfelt, but just memorized. It was like we were robots. My sweet
comp is a convert and is trying super hard
to teach everything perfectly... but I just felt like we needed to try
something different.
We have this investigator named Juan. Juan is 59 and lives alone...
with no job.. and has serious depression. Ya. I know what youre thinkin..
¨¨Hermana Terry where ya goin with this..¨¨ Let me tell you. Juan is hard. Hes harsh. Hes a sweet little old man that
has depression. Hes messed up a lot in his life. And because of this..he
feels mad at himself. We´ve had countless lessons of teaching and
teaching him.. but hes not changing. Key word: teaching. We knew we
needed to do something other than teaching, teaching,
teaching.
WE KNOW that the repentance process is taking a while for him, its only natural that it would, but
you know what.. thats okay. We are gonna make sure he is ready for his
baptism. :) But he feels frustrated because he doesnt have this
connection with God. He tells us that he repented
of his sins.. but still doesnt feel forgiven. Thats what hes lacking..
TO FEEL IT. FEELING GOD IN YOU IS EVERYTHING!
So one day during study.. I was trying so hard to find something
for Juan. Specifically about repentance and the forgiveness of God. This
day was very special. My prayer was different. I didnt say the same
things. I asked God to please guide me in my study
and thats exactly what I got. He guided me!!
The story that my mom gave me. MOM IM TELLING YOU RIGHT NOW. THE
BLOG IS MINE AND I CAN PUT WHATEVER ON IT. I FEEL VERY PROMPTED TO PUT
THIS STORY ON IT. :) OKAY? OKAY. :) DONT CUT THIS OUT OR ELSE!
It was a miracle that I translated this whole story. It took me forever but I did it straight from your email. I felt so much
love for Juan!! During companion study, I had a little fear to share
something ¨¨out of the books¨¨ with my companion. But I remembered the
promise Ive always made with God and that is
that I WILL NEVER DENY WHAT THE SPIRIT TELLS ME TO DO. So I shared this
story with my companion: Ladies and gents.. Julie Terry: I titled it La
Expiacion:
It is about a man with a dog named Princess.
He named her Princess because
he treats her better than anyone on the planet. Princess is
an
explorer but she is a pretty white fluffy dog that is super small and
poofy. Sometimes she gets into a sticker bush behind their house
looking for her ball. He often warns Princess not
to go by the bush, but she is always sure her ball is under it. Every time the man sees Princess with
sticky cockleburrs on her, he say "Oh precious Princess,
come here beautiful. Let me help you, that must hurt so much" And
because hes so sweet she always comes to him. He takes as long as he
needs to set her free from the stickers. Then he stokes her and tells
her he loves her. The dog comes to him for everything
and gives him unconditional love. He says at the end of the story What
if I screamed at Princess every
time
she had stickers in her "YOU IDIOT WHY DO YOU HAVE STICKERS IN YOU. I
TOLD YOU STAY AWAY FROM THE BUSH. WHAT KIND OF A DOG GETS STICKERS.
YOU ARE ONE DUMB DOG" He decided she would hide when she got stickers
He also decided the reason she comes to
him for everything is because he is so kind to her.

My comp almost screamed she was so excited. ITS EXACTLY WHAT JUAN
NEEDS TO HEAR!! That day we literally ran to Juans ¨hotel.¨(Ya he lives
in a hotel. But its more on the poor side. )Anyways.. when Juan read the
letter his eyes got big. He stopped and pondered
for a really long time. Oh my word.. this guy is a tough one. But man..
Me and Hermana Torres saw this man. This broken, beaten up man change.
His AURA changed. His spirit was sooo strong. I knew he felt it. I
knew he felt God reaching out to him in total love and kindness. No rejection. No anger. A call to Juan to come and sit on his lap and allow God to remove the pain from his life one burr at a time. :)
ANyways.. we went home that night.. and my comp thanked my mom. She thanked my
mom in her prayer because her words have led us to the people who need
to hear them the most. MOM. I know I talk a
lot about you.. but I use all of your letters. I use your stories, your
sayings, your scriptures.. and its seriously helping so many people. I
felt sooo much gratitude after this prayer because I really am so lucky
to have a mom like you. My comps pretty much in love with ¨¨Jewelry Terry¨¨ hahaha.:) I have a memory of you tearing up when you told me you wished you could come along and serve my mission with me. MOM YOU ARE SERVING MY MISSION WITH ME! I PROMISE!
My comp said that this is the first time in the mission that
she doesnt feel like a robot. WOW!! EVerything after that moment
changed!! We are literally going by the spirit in every lesson.
Everything is so much better. WE LOVE EACH OTHER
POR FIN!! Hahaa. I can honestly say I love this girl. ELLA ES UNA CAPA.

We have other investogadores! A lot! We found un escogido! (CHOSEN
ONE) His name is Roberto and owns una verduleria! Roberto is a dad who
loves his kids.. but is now divorced and lives alone. But man does he
want to change his life. Ive never met anyone
that is sooooo into the BOOK OF MORMON! He reads everything we give him
and more! He talks a lot about mormon.org!
Isnt that awesome! I KNOW WITH ALL MY HEART THAT GOD HAS PEOPLE
PREPARED TO HEAR FROM US. AND
IT MAKES OUR JOB SO MUCH EASIER. THEY ARE OUT THERE. WE JUST NEED TO
HAVE PATIENCE AND TRUST IN GOD AND WE WILL FIND THEM. THIS IS FOR ALL MY
HOMIE MISSIONARIES OUT SERVIN THE LORD. THERE ARE ESCOGIDOS EN TODO EL
MUNDO.
I want to end by saying.. I love receiving answers from my Dios (God). Its amazing how he communicates with us. He put a song in my
head this morning that made me smile. Every night I ask God to put a
song in my head when I wake up so that I can have
a good day. And youre thinking.. WHY IS SHE SAYING THIS.

I felt him tell me to not worry and that he will do what he wants IN HIS
TIME with his precious son, Juan. He will fix every broken heart who comes to him. Just come to him. Thats all he asks.
