Guess What? Juan was finally baptized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We found this cathedral the other day. We went in and sat down for a minute. Seriously most peaceful beautiful place Ive been in a long long time.
So proud of Juan. He worked so hard to get to this day.
Oh hello sir, would you like some scriptures? Would you like a follow up discussion?
JUANCITO
GOT BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH OKay - start
from the beginning. :) Yesterday Juan came to church with us. But he was
sooooo nervous. He was pacing back and forth the whole
time because right after church was his baptism. But let me tell ya when
he came out all in white.. my heart MELTED. He was shining sooo bright!
It was obvious angels were with him yesterday. Anyways before the baptism we
took a ton of pics! He felt like a movie star! I loved it soo
much! Baptisms are supposed to be like this. May 18 was dedicated to
JUAN. It makes baptisms so much more special when we actually
acknowledge the person and their amazing worth on the planet who is getting baptized. :)
Ohhh man when he walked into the baptismal font.. I couldnt believe
it was finally happening. All those times where Juan felt like there
was no hope or peace in this life- Juan was about to make a partnership
with our Heavenly Father that will change his life forever!! I really have come to know that we need a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with God. When we talk or pray we sometimes make him distant and untouchable. Joy in life comes from knowing he is real and personal and has legitimate conversations with you and is very alive in you and heals and loves you. Its keeping a conversation going in your mind with him all the time. It remembering you have one place in the world, that isnt the world at all, where you have total and complete acceptance from someone who knows you and loves you unconditionally. Its the soft tug on your heart that Jesus died so you could really really live. And not live small. But live large and amazing and gloriously! Its his greatest wish that we live with an overflow of light and joy to the point that it spills out of us and infects other people. We have to do a piece of the personal relationship part, but he does the spilling over part. He is my best friend.
THE BEST MOMENT WAS SEEING HIS FACE WHEN HE CAME OUT OF THE WATER.
He looked like A BRAND NEW JUAN! I KNOW WITH ALL MY HEART that Juan
felt something soooo big and sooo amazing. Because his face told
everything. He was smiling. Not his normal plastic smile. But smiling
with all of his heart. Not one aching sin in his body. I had the best
opportunity to sing in his baptism. and I sang come thou fount. But before I sang I just had to let my thoughts
out. So I said before I start, I just want Juan to know that HE IS SOO
SOO SOOO SOO (MUY MUY MUY MUY) Special to Heavenly Father and he should
never forget it. And that it was an honor for me to teach him
about our Savior and his gospel. AND THAT I LOVED HIM. :)
SOO MUCH HAPPINESS AND SOO MUCH SPIRIT!!! It was the little things
that just made it amazing. The sun was beaming through the window and
shining in the spot where Juan was sitting.. THE WHOLE TIME. That my
friends was tthe presence of God at his precious childs baptism. I think thats
how God is. Every big and special moment we have in our lives God has
the front row seat.
Amazing. Man, Its just the best thing ever!
What
else? THIS WEEK we had splits!!! When the sister traning leaders told
me that I was gonna stay here in Belgrano I almost died! Hah i know. I
have 7 months in the mission.. but still it was a big step for me! For
one whole day I got to play senior companion with HERMANA JENSEN! SHOUT
OUT TO KELSIE JENSEN from the best city in da world... SPRINGVILLE! Haha
soo cool. We had so much fun. She taught me so much!
This morning started my study in
JSH. JOSEPH SMITH is the man. I love reading his words!! Theres a part I
wanna share with you guys:))
I was
left to all kinds of temptations; and, mingling with all kinds of
society, I frequently fell into many foolish errors, and displayed the
weakness of youth, and the foibles of human nature; which, I am sorry to
say, led me into divers temptations, offensive in the sight of God
and then he goes on saying:
In
consequence of these things, I often felt condemned for my weakness and
imperfections; when, on the evening of the above-mentioned twenty-first
of September, after I had retired to my bed for the night, I betook
myself to prayer and supplication to Almighty God for forgiveness of all
my sins and follies, and also for a manifestation to me, that I might
know of my state and standing before him.
THEN IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS SWEET LITTLE REPENTANCE PROCESS AN ANGEL APPEARS!
While
I was thus in the act of calling upon God, I discovered a light
appearing in my room, which continued to increase until the room was
lighter than at noonday, when immediately a personage appeared at my
bedside, standing in the air, for his feet did not touch the floor.
He
called me by name, and said unto me that he was a messenger sent from
the presence of God to me, and that his name was Moroni; that God had a work for me to do.
Oh
my heavens. I love this story. I CAN SO RELATE TO YOUNG JOSEPH SMITH! As teenagers we all have our past sins, imperfections, and
weaknesses. BUT I LOVE HOW GOD SENDS HIM AN ANGEL and Moroni tells him
without saying it.. your sins are forgiven NOW GET TO WORK! God has
something bigger and greater for you! Dont dwell in your little teenage
sins! I have felt like this. We have all felt like this. I feel
impressed to say to all teenagers who are preparing for a mission: your
sins are forgiven. now get to work! God NEEDS his army. We understand
what its like to be forgiven from our God of grace. NOW ITS TIME to find
people who dont know this feeling and bring them to repentance.
GOD SEES THE BIG PICTURE! He doesnt see us as weak little teenagers, he sees our eternal potential. Never forget it!!!!!
Alright Ill stop my blabbin. Que tengan un buen dia! Saludos a mis amigos y amigas!!! :);:) HAPPY GRADUATION!! YAY!!! CARRY ON CARRY ON CARRY ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
